Tula Pink – Linework Collection

“I have always loved the way a sketch looks before it becomes a more elaborate fabric design. I love to be able to see the thought process, the notes, eraser marks and original ideas that eventually become the artwork we love.”

Linework is Tula Pink’s thought process printed directly onto cloth — her notes, ideas and sketches revealed. It offers a glimpse behind the veil, a tour through the creative journey before colour and embellishment take over.

Colour can sometimes distract from the work itself. With this collection, Tula focused on two crucial elements:

• Black
• White

The primary prints highlight animals that naturally exist within this palette:

• Zebras
• Pandas
• Lemurs
• Albino Peacocks
• Skunks

While the intention was to honour these animals in their flawless black and white state, colour inevitably crept in. Each print features a subtle ombré background that repeats at least twice from selvage to selvage, ensuring that every fat quarter contains a full spectrum of colour.

In addition to the six main focal prints, the collection includes black and white versions of selected True Colors prints. All hues incorporated throughout the range are drawn directly from Tula’s core True Colors fabrics.

Every design in the collection is created to work harmoniously together — each print providing balance, contrast and cohesion within the range.
