  • Notes:
    • No class on Monday 2 March 2026 (Labour Day).
    • The last day of the course will be Monday 6 April 2026, which is the evening of Easter Monday.

About your Teacher

With nearly 40 years of experience, Margie brings a lifetime of expertise and a deep love for hand-stitching to our community. From her early training under her mother, a professional tailor, to her formal studies in Fashion and Design and her advanced certification under the late Margie Bauer, Margie's background is steeped in traditional craftsmanship.

Having spent years creating heirloom pieces for her three daughters, she is a master at guiding students from absolute beginners to advanced levels. For Margie, smocking is a journey of creativity, calm, and connection, and she looks forward to sharing the meditative joy and companionship of the craft with you.
